Intern, Geomatics Engineer

Islem Ben Alaya is a skilled and passionate geomatics engineer with a strong background in computer science, remote sensing, geodesy, climate change and GIS. He has worked on various geomatics projects, including spatio-temporal studies of urban development and studies on the dynamics of irrigated perimeters using satellite data and remote sensing, as well as geomatics studies for construction of a dam. Islem has developed skills in 3D modeling, photogrammetry, web mapping, image processing, machine learning algorithms of massive data, as well as the use of artificial intelligence models for the prediction of future maps.

In addition to his technical skills in geomatics, his great capacity of analysis, his rigor and his sense of detail are assets to guarantee the quality and reliability of the results obtained. He is also known for his positive attitude, his open-mindedness and his ability to adapt quickly to changes and challenges.

  • Master’s degree in applied geomatics and remote sensing – University of Sherbrooke
  • Master 2 in climate change and water management – Higher school of engineers – Medjez el bab, Tunisia
  • Diploma of national engineer in geomatics – Higher school of engineers – Medjez el bab, Tunisia
  • Diploma of applied license in Civil Engineering – Higher institute of technological studies – Nabeul, Tunisia
