Islem Ben Alaya is a Geomatics and Remote sensing specialist with a background in computer science, climate change, and GIS. He has contributed to various projects, including spatio-temporal studies of urban development and studies on land cover monitoring and change detection through multispectral satellite imagery. His research also delves into the impacts of climate change on different terrains. Islem has developed skills in 3D modeling, photogrammetry, web mapping, and image processing. He’s also skilled in applying machine learning algorithms to big-data and utilizing artificial intelligence models to forecast future maps. His fields of expertise also cover drone imagery processing and geoinformatics, using languages and techniques such as Python, JavaScript and SQL.
