Dr. Qamar Munir has extensive experience working with operators globally in the design and delivery of fiber and legacy networks – in particular at layer 2 Ethernet configurations. At Siemens he was recognized as a technology ‘guru’ responsible for developing next generation solutions for operators.
Qamar has a sound understanding of telecommunications ecosystems; Access and Transmission Networks as well as technical requirements required for integrated traffic management by operators and third party users of networks. He has demonstrated his ability to manage projects as well as technical and interdisciplinary teams.
Qamar’s specialties are Technology Innovations, Technical Solutions, Fiber Optic Networks and Fiber Optic Sensors.
Dr. Munir has a doctorate in Physics with a specialization in Optoelectronics (Lasers, Fibre Optic Sensors, Photo-acoustics, and Optical Communications).
