Dr. Anwar Haque is a Senior Associate of NE&S and a faculty member in the Dept. of Computer Science at the University of Western Ontario. He is also appointed as Industry Expert in Residence in the faculty of Science at Western. Dr. Haque’s primary research areas of interest include wireless/wireline networks resources and performance management and optimization focusing on IoT based smart services and applications. Dr. Haque spent fifteen years of his career in Canadian Telco industry (Bell Canada) in various technical and leadership roles. He has been awarded a number of national / provincial level research grants including NSERC, MITACS, and OCE. He has established an extensive industry research collaboration network with a number of major industry partners including IBM, Bell Canada, TELUS, Juniper Networks, Huawei, and many others. He has served as journal guest editor, workshop chair, conference session/patron chair, and conference PC member. Dr. Haque authored/co-authored 40+ peer reviewed research publications in leading journals and conferences, authored many industry technical papers, and held number of patent/licenses.
Dr. Anwar Haque is an internationally reputed Telecom researcher in broadband networks performance and resource management; and a seasoned Telco industry professional with 17+ years of progressive industry and research experience in broadband telecommunication networks.
